John Carroll University President Rev. Robert L. Niehoff, S.J., announced today that men's and women's lacrosse will debut as varsity sports at the Division III school, with competition beginning during the 2013-14 academic year.
“We are excited to add one of the fastest growing sports in the country to our varsity athletics program,” said Father Niehoff. “With this level of student and alumni interest in lacrosse, we know it is the right time for us move forward with expanding our varsity sports in this way.”
