Post University (DII CT) Adds Men's Lacrosse



WATERBURY, Conn. – Post University, an NCAA Division II and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) member, announced it will add men's lacrosse as its 17th intercollegiate sport. The Eagles begin practice in 2013, and gain full varsity standing in 2014. Jim Griffin was named the program's inaugural head coach.

Post University will become the third member of the CACC to introduce men's lacrosse. Chestnut Hill and Dominican (N.Y.) are currently the other member institutions which participate in men's lac

rosse. Division II men's lacrosse consists of three regions: Central, North and South. The North region consists of 12 institutions in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York and Vermont. The Eagles will become the only NCAA Division II program in the state of Connecticut.
